Boxercise is an exercise class based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit. As no class involves the physical hitting of an opponent, it is a fun, challenging and safe workout.

Pilates develops the body in a balanced way working on core strength, flexibility, awareness and posture to promote efficient and functional movement.
It is a low impact and mindful way of exercising and can help manage a variety of health conditions.
The classes are very focused on technique with individual attention, correction, and modification of exercises where necessary.

Tai Chi for Health
Tai Chi is best known in the West as a system of exercises to benefit health, prevent degenerative illnesses, and promote longevity. It stimulates circulation, aligns misplaced bones, mobilizes the joints, stimulates and maintains vital organs, and improves balance and coordination. It improves the breathing which revitalizes body and brain. But tai chi is a holistic practice and it also trains the mind to focus and concentrate. It widens sensitivity and the capacity to feel, so that people who practice become more awake, alive, and responsive.

Sports massage can help a wide range of people who have musculoskeletal pain, dysfunction or injury brought about by work or lifestyle.
My career has always been linked to fitness, exercise and sport. I have a BSc degree in Sports and Human Biology and trained as a fitness instructor and lifestyle consultant with FFI. I later moved on to become a teacher of PE. In the last 2 years I have also completed my level 3 and then my level 4 in Sports Massage Therapy.
The prime purpose of sports massage therapy is to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. Where minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion and/or overuse, massage can break them down quickly and effectively. Sports massage can help a wide range of people not just athletes who have musculoskeletal pain, dysfunction or injury brought about by work or lifestyle. It tends to be deeper and more intense than Swedish massage and can include techniques such as stretching, compression, friction, and trigger point response techniques.
Positively challenging eating disorders…together
We meet on the second and fourth Fridays of each month at The CAN&WILL Studio, Northampton Road, Market Harbrorough, LE16 9HF, from 10am – 12pm for a minimum £2 donation per person, per session.
The rebalance self support group offers a friendly, welcoming environment, with sessions facilitated by experienced staff/volunteers, many of whom have recovered from an eating disorder themselves. Volunteers also include carers and mental health professionals, helping to provide a spectrum of advice and experience.
The first hour of each session is based on a subject that will aid recovery from any form of disordered eating. Topics encourage participants to consider and reflect upon their thoughts, feelings and behaviours and the actions that might help create a more balanced way of living. The second hour allows for peer support and chat, helping to minimise isolation whilst increasing understanding.
